Dakriosistitis Diseases Of The Eye

Dakriosistitis is an infection in the bag tears (sakus lakrimalis).

The cause of
Dakriosistitis usually occurs due to a blockage in the duct nasolakrimalis (channels that drain tears into the nose).

Symptoms
The infection causes pain in the area around the bag tears that looks red and swollen.

The eyes become red and watery as well as removing the pus.
If the bag tears pressed slowly, pus will come out from the holes in the corner of the inner eye (near your nose).

Sufferers also experience fever.

If a light or repeated infections lasting longer then most of the symptoms may disappear just mild swelling that is settled.

Sometimes the infection causes stifled tears tears in the bag so that the bag is formed that contains fluids (mukokel under the skin).

Recurrent infections can cause redness and thickening above the bag tears.

Can form pockets of pus (abscess) which then broke out and removing the pus.

Diagnosis
The diagnosis is based on symptoms and upheld results of physical examinations.

Treatment
Infections are treated with antibiotics per-oral (by mouth) or intravenously (through a vein).

Enclave of tears can also be compressed warm.

If formed abscess, surgery to open and discard the pus.

To chronical infection, blockage of the duct nasolakrimalis can be opened with the help of a needle or surgically.
